Sunday is the day of the single-day rapid. Frascati Scacchi holds one almost every month in a reading room in the Cocciano quarter, alternating with qualifiers for the national youth championship, and Ostia Scacchi runs its own youth qualifiers on Sundays about once a month from October to May. Other rapids around Lake Bracciano and in the Castelli Romani also fall on a Sunday, but once a year; they are listed with the rapid tournaments.

For a quieter Sunday there are the clubs. Vitinia has listed Sunday morning for courses and free play, the Zichichi circle in Ladispoli teaches primary-school children on Sunday morning, and Quattro Pedoni in Balduina opens on Sunday evening, mostly for free play.
